Shri Abdul Rauf, Accountant General (A&E) Assam
Shri Abdul Rauf is an Indian Audit & Account Service (IA&AS) officer of 1996 batch, and is BE (Chemical Engineering) from BITS-Pilani. He has held various assignments both in the Indian Audit & Accounts Department (IA&AD) and outside the Department on deputation. On deputation he has worked as OSD (Reforms) in the MPSEB Board, Madhya Pradesh. He took over as Accountant General (A&E) Assam in the forenoon of 17.10.2016.
Shri Deepak Narain, Accountant General (A&E) Assam
Shri Deepak Narain is an Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer of the 1993 batch. He assumed charge as Accountant General (A&E), Assam, in the forenoon of 16.03.2015. Prior to joining as Accountant General (A&E), Assam, he has held various assignments, both in the Office of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, New Delhi, as well as in the Government of India.

Shri Shantanu Basu Accountant General (A&E) Assam
Shri Shantanu Basu is an Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer of 1984 batch. He has a BA (Hons.) in History from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University (1979), and MBA from the University of Queensland, Australia (1999-2000). He also attended the North Carolina State University, USA, for higher study in public management in 2006-09. Shri Basu has held various assignments both in the Indian Audit & Accounts Department (IA&AD) and outside it. Within the IA&AD he has audited key infrastructure, social services, defense, railways, energy, culture, revenue, information, among other Ministries/organizations. During his tenure as Principal Director of Audit, South Central Railway, Secunderabad (2000-2003), Shri Basu took the initiative to launch IA&AD’s first fully functional LAN and Internet web site. He was also the sole auditor for ITEC funded projects in Bhutan (2004-06). On deputation, he was Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer of Tea Board India (1995-98) in the Ministry of Commerce under the Central Staffing Scheme and Director of Accounts in the Cabinet Secretariat (2004-06). Prior to his current assignment,Shri Basu was Principal Director/Director General equivalent of the Ministry of Railways. He has also audited the World Health Organizations’ Africa Regional Office and a major Country Office in 2010. Shri Basu has several articles in national newspapers like The Statesman and Business Standard to his credit.
Shri Mohinder Singh Accountant General (A&E) Assam
Shri Mohinder Singh is an Indian Audit & Account Service (IA&AS) officer of 1984 batch, and is MA in Political Science from Punjab University. He has held various assignments both in the Indian Audit & Accounts Department (IA&AD) and outside the Department on deputation. On deputation he has worked as Director (Finance) Board of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd. Panchkula. Prior to his present assignment has has worked as Principal Director of Audit, Defence Services, Chandigarh from August 2009 to until taking over as Accountant General (A&E) Assam in the afternoon of 22.11.2010.

University, Shillong. He has held

2000) and then in Assam State
Electricity Board (ASEB) as Member
(Finance) from May 2000 to until taking
over as Accountant General (A&E) Assam
in the afternoon of 31.07.2006.
